As part of the Buck marketing team, my role was to implement the Buck brand across all communications and visual assets. I also designed and provided creative direction for video, websites, and interiors.
King + Cross Companies
Creative Manager  +  06/2017 – 08/2018
Initially worked with outside clients to produce brand programs with corporate identities and websites. Then transitioned within K+C to oversee the visual brand for CTA and King and Cross Distributors. This included developing processes with the Product Development team to produce catalogs. I also illustrated product renderings, art directed and shot product photography and video, and designed visual assets as needed.

I was brought in to wo
rk on print publications for the agency.  I was the Art Director for the magazines: Principal (for Elementary and High School Principals); Howard University Magazine; and WETA TV Guide (Public TV from Washington D.C.). I also designed newsletters for Centene which went to the providers of medical insurance.
St. Louis Community College
Graphic Design Lead  +  07/2015 – 05/2016
Led the design, branding and visual efforts for St. Louis Community College. Driving initiatives to create assets for the new brand identity and provide oversight for brand adherence. This included a new version of the logo and a graphic standard document that outlined a new direction. From print, signage, advertising and digital components, I updated the college’s materials to adhere to the new standards.
Kerry Layton Design

As an independent design consultant, I worked with small businesses, organizations and agencies to create brand programs and compelling design elements for, collateral and digital applications. My work included brand programs for I.V. House, MDI8 Fitness, Pathway Genomics, FrostByte Video, and Legacy Montessori. 
Fleishman-Hillard
SVP, Senior Creative Director and Partner  +  8/2005 – 09/2010
As co-lead of the Fleishman-Hillard Creative group, I managed a group of approximately 25 employees with seven direct reports. I was the creative lead for our largest clients including AT&T, RCGA, Boy Scouts, Palm Springs California and was a member of the brand council where I led the design and presentation of new business for branding initiatives.
Kuhlman-Leavitt
Designer  +  2/2005 – 4/2005
Working as a designer in this small, but influential shop, included working  on a number of projects for Formica, TIAA-CREF, and Univision. The most significant project was the Station Casinos Annual Report. For this annual I art directed photo shoots; created the design of the interior and 10K; and provided press checks for the final book. Awards for the Stations annual included Communication Arts Design Annual, AR100, Step by Step Graphics, and the Graphis Design Annual.
St. Louis Family Church
Communications Director  +  3/2003 – 3/2005
St. Louis Family Church is a 5,000 plus member congregation that is atypical from most churches. I managed the seven person group with two video editors and four designers to produce the collateral, direct mail, staging and set design, campus wayfinding, and interior design. I unified the visual components of the church from the weekly bulletin, to campus wayfinding to a audio series packaging. I also redesigned the main church interior and the disaster recovery organization site, ServiceInternational.org.

I worked with small businesses and organizations along with design, advertising and promotion agencies. The work I produced included: the annual report for E.W. Scripps who own HGTV, the Food Network; I.V. House, a medical device company, where I created packaging, tradeshow display, website, and sales collateral; and Graphic Standards for Transentric that included a stationery system and design templates.
